#6 IDEA DEVELOP AN ADVERTISING PLAN! Any advertising should be well-planned and boost your sales during slow times of the year. Don't be a victim of the advertising sales person and run ads here or there with little or no purpose or logic! A plan allows you to measure the effectiveness of an ad program by determining the increase of sales or inquiries during a specific period.
You can make your advertising dollar much more effective by advertising with frequency. A small ad that runs over a period of time, (like every week for 6-weeks), usually brings better results than a large ad that runs only once. Customers need to see your presence again and again to retain your message.
Your ad should have only one purpose or objective, (like announcing a sale or open house, or introducing a new product or service). Don't confuse customers by putting too much information in your ad. Keep it simple.
Once again, if you accept Credit Cards don't forget to let the public known by placing the recognizable symbols in your ads.
